Description

Learning from risk management in practice

The Practice & Implementation (P&I) working group of the still young Risk Management & Technology Department (RBT) offers engineers inspiration and practical tips on how to deal smartly with risks in their organisations. This is to use risk management to deliver added value in times of uncertainty as well as opportunities.

To realise this ambition, the P&I working group is organising a number of workshops within technically oriented organisations in 2015. The aim of these workshops is for engineers to learn from the practice of risk management. What works and how is it successfully implemented.

This meeting is an "appetiser" for such a workshop. Johan Dobbelaar deals with risk and opportunity analysis within van de Ven Bouw en Ontwikkeling, part of Volker Wessels. In a short presentation, he outlines his experiences with this and what he encounters in daily practice. The participants of the meeting will discuss this in order to learn from each other's experiences. Prior to this, Martin van Staveren will give a short introduction, including lessons learned from the workshop at Bluewater in November 2014
