Making business parks more sustainable
Description
What will business parks look like in 2030?
An energetic meeting where you will be taken through the transition to an inspiring and sustainable working environment.
In the Netherlands, a large number of people work on a business park or office park. Many of them are monotonous, functional sites with little inspiration and sustainability. Increasingly common 'symptoms' are an increase in vacancy and squalor and rising management costs.
A transition towards sustainability and greening is underway. Using a number of inspiring examples, you will be taken through the route towards this from the perspective of the government, the individual entrepreneur and the collective approach.
Programme:
19:15 Walk-in & reception
19:30 Aleida van den Akker, Economic Affairs Office of the Province of Zuid-Holland
About: the role of the province in restructuring and making business parks more sustainable. The province aims for good quality business parks, i.e. a pleasant image for the surroundings but also good functionality for the companies housed on the site. And preferably as sustainable as possible. What is the province willing and able to do to increase the quality of business parks in South Holland? What are the challenges, what are the dilemmas? What instruments does the province have at its disposal to persuade actors on a business park to take measures? And do those measures also deliver something in practice?
20:00 Lennart van der Burg, Business developer Consultancy and engineering firm Grontmij.
Cooperation is essential to make an area, for example a business park, more sustainable. This is because there are various interests at play and several themes are topical. Just think of the vacancy of business premises, the development of sustainable energy and/or the spatial quality of the business park. A concrete approach based on a clear vision is needed. For an entrepreneur, it is important to ask some fundamental questions. Will I still be located in this area in 2030? If so, what will it need in terms of facilities? What image/profile should this area project and what level of cooperation is needed? Using a number of inspiring example projects, Grontmij answers these and other questions!
20:30 Bert Nagtegaal, Senior consultant sustainability and energy Deerns Raadgevende Ingenieurs, Rijswijk.
Deerns will discuss the sustainable technical development of buildings on a business park, the possibilities of applying sustainable generation techniques, collective energy supply and exchange of energy through smart grids, and the possibilities for sustainability in the use phase of the business park. The contribution is intended both for entrepreneurs who want to develop their building sustainably individually and for the overall joint approach to the area, and aims in part to identify collective sustainable opportunities for development at an early stage."
