Description

The realisation of the A4 Middle Delfland has been on the agenda for decades. Outgoing transport minister Camiel Eurlings has made a strong case for the link to be built quickly now. He opted in September for a final construction of the A4 variant that will be partly tunneled. His choice was based on the results of a Trajectory Memorandum/EIA that was produced in two stages. Despite the extensive study, not everyone agrees with the traffic justification for that choice. The introductions discuss various aspects of the study, both from the side of the implementing organisation, Rijkswaterstaat Zuid Holland, the research agency that drafted the traffic report and an expert commentator, who submitted an opinion during the public participation procedure
