Mini Seminar Mobility
Description
Six lectures on mobility:
[1] Ben Rutten
Smart Mobility
Anything, anytime, anywhere connected to the Internet: this will have a huge impact on our mobility system. Modern communication technologies have by now made persons always connected, but for the car this has yet to start. We are only at the beginning of a new development, which will change a lot in the next decade. Traffic information and traffic management will merge and driver support will continue to evolve, and first forms of automated driving will appear.
[2] Frank Ottenhof,
Collaborating on Mobility
Frank Ottenhof will speak on Collaborating on Mobility. He will give his views on the future of Dynamic Traffic Management, taking you from the current situation to the future of Coordinated Network Management.
[3] Peter Nijhout & Rogier Groenewegen The mobilist central
The world of traffic and transport is changing rapidly: new vehicles and fuels, The New World of Work, urbanisation and shrinkage, new mobility services, global economic trends... We present a concrete vision of how to deal with these trends and developments in our daily work. "The mobilist central" and a broad interpretation of the sustainability concept are key pillars of the vision.
[4] Leon Soulier,
Mobility 2039
Leon Soulier, looks ahead to 2039. He discusses Siemens' mobility vision. It discusses: mobility pass, cooperative systems, trains running trackless and with automatic error recovery, cars are electric, self-steering, equipped with sensors and goods are transported via intermodal freight hubs.
[5] Isabel Wilmink,
The Shifting World of Traffic Management
Traffic management is expected to become more dynamic and proactive, with the ability to balance multiple policy goals (e.g. traffic flow and air quality). In-vehicle systems will play a greater role, as will data from those vehicles combined with traffic data from sensors in the infrastructure. Innovative traffic management measures are currently being devised and tested, including at the Dutch Integrated Testsite Cooperative Mobility (DITCM).
[6] Reindert Augustijn
Openbaar vervoer in de Stadsregio Arnhem Nijmegen
Reindert Augustijn will discuss the tendering of public transport concessions based on experiences in the City Region. The region has carried out a number of tenders in recent years, in which some aspects were successful such as accessibility and greening the buses and some other aspects such as integration with spatial and infrastructural developments could only be introduced to a limited extent
