Lecture and AGM
Professor Lodewijks has left for Australia for a position as professor at the School of Aviation of the Faculty of Science of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. He has also been appointed head of the School of Aviation. He therefore steps down as a professor and leaves TU Delft from 16-12-2016. He took his leave as an ordinary board member of KIVI TRL. He gave an interesting lecture on the subject of Baggage Handling at Airports prior to the ALV. This lecture also marked his farewell as a TRL board member.
The 2016 General Assembly of Members, which was postponed for practical reasons, then took place. In 2017, it will again take place in spring.

Professor Lodewijks leaves for Australia for a new position as professor at the School of Aviation of the Faculty of Science of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. He has also been appointed head of the School of Aviation. He therefore steps down as a professor and leaves TU Delft from 16-12-2016. He is also stepping down as an ordinary board member of KIVI TRL.
He will deliver a lecture on a topic of interest to our members.
***KIVI Transport Science and Logistics is looking for new board members.
The board currently consists of six board members who meet several times a year for a meeting (Randstad region). We work closely with the board of the Disputuut Transportkunde of TU Delft. We aim to organise about 6 activities a year, including in cooperation with the Dispuut Transportkunde and other KIVI departments.
The main task of the new board member is to think along and make suggestions regarding the exchange of knowledge in the field of transport engineering and logistics by setting up activities such as company visits, lectures and meetings. The aim of the activities is to deal with interesting, current topics for the benefit of members.

The position of board member does not require (too) much time, is obviously very satisfying, and opens up new fields of work and contacts.
The main reason for expansion of the board is the retirement of another board member as well as to have broader input in devising and developing activities.
