About the department

Leading professional association for Dutch engineers

The Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) is the Dutch professional association of and for engineers educated at universities and colleges, forming a high-quality technical knowledge and expertise network.

The aim of the association is to represent the interests of engineers as a profession and to promote engineering in general, as well as to support the individual engineer during his or her career.

Vehicle engineering department

KIVI's Department of Vehicle Technology promotes the development of road vehicle technology in the Netherlands. We actively contribute to strengthening the national and international automotive network. With regular meetings and knowledge exchange, we offer our members the opportunity to deepen their expertise and to meet each other.

The Vehicle Technology department focuses on the development of road vehicle technology in the Netherlands. We actively contribute to strengthening the national and international automotive network by organising events, lectures, company visits and networking sessions. Thus, we offer members and interested parties the opportunity to learn about the latest developments, share experiences and discuss with peers.

kIVI Voertuigtechniek members benefit from discounts on participation in events and from KIVI's broad membership services, including the monthly magazine De Ingenieur. Students can also participate in our activities at a reduced rate.

International cooperation

the KIVI Vehicle Engineering Division is a member of FISITA, the global network that unites more than 210,000 engineers and researchers in mobility and vehicle engineering. Through this network, our members gain access to international knowledge exchange, conferences and collaboration opportunities. KIVI proudly hosted the FISITA World Automotive Congress in Maastricht in 2014 and continues to actively contribute to this international platform.
