The Terwolde sewage treatment plant (rwzi) was renovated in a circular way in 2023/2024. Reuse of existing plant (parts) and materials was one of the starting points. Technical components were also selected that can be remounted in accordance with the Verdygo® concept. This Verdygo® concept is based on a modular design and construction technique for sewage treatment plants.

While the new plant is built in parts, the old plant remains in operation, so that residents' and businesses' sewage is treated as usual. When a section is completed, it will be switched from old to new.

WS Vallei en Veluwe will give an explanation of this future-proof sewage treatment plant, built using new techniques with much attention to circularity, followed by a tour of the plant.
