The expansion of Collective Contracts and the Chartered Engineering programme are spearheads of the KIVI Strategy 2020. The main board is looking for an experienced director and enthusiastic person to join us in these portfolios. This is a volunteer position for three years with a possibility of extension once.

Collective memberships
Members are the basis of KIVI as an association. In addition to large numbers of individual members, we have collective memberships for organisations employing large numbers of engineers. KIVI's policy is to greatly expand the number of large collective memberships.

Chartered Engineering
The Chartered Engineering programme falls within the concept of "lifelong learning" for engineers in the Netherlands. Participants are entitled to the internationally recognised title Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer if they meet the requirements.
KIVI runs this internationally in cooperation with European and global professional qualification organisations. Nationally, we cooperate with technical universities and colleges and with several (large) companies.

What is expected of you
The board member provides direction for the Chartered Engineer programme and collaborates where a top-level role is important. The sought-after principal board member is also vice-chair of the KIVI Council on Education. In addition, the chief executive officer sought provides direction on the recruitment and management of collective memberships.
The main board is supported by the KIVI office and the 50 departmental boards also play an important role in the association.
The average time commitment required for the main board member is expected to be in the order of 6 to 8 hours per week. Discussions are also often in the evenings.

Your profile
Required is that you are, or will be, a member of KIVI. In terms of background, it is expected that you function or have functioned at a high level in industry, government or education. Knowledge of the structures related to higher and scientific education in the Netherlands and their correlation is important.
In addition, knowledge of the training needs of companies is very relevant, as is a strong network.
