Regional expertise and networking for innovative construction and hydraulic engineering professionals
Established on 1 January 2009, the Construction and Hydraulic Engineering South Working Group (BW-Zuid) represents the interests of the members of the Construction and Hydraulic Engineering Division who live in Zeeland, North Brabant and North Limburg (postcodes 3240 - 3259; 4300 - 4699; 4700 - 6099).
As such, BW-South complements the already existing Departments South for Business Administration (BK-South), for Electrical Engineering (E-South), for Mechanical Engineering (W-South), for Commercial Engineers ( CI-South ) and for teachers. The members of these Departments also reside in the aforementioned regions. A member from the board of each aforementioned department represents his department in the board of the KIVI Region South.
Importance of Department of Civil Engineering South
- Organising activities in the region
This mostly involves civil engineering excursions, company visits and lectures and workshops. - The opportunity to exchange knowledge and establish contacts with peers in the region
- The receipt of the South Region Programme Magazine and the opportunity to participate in the activities published in it
Every member of the South Division of Civil Engineering, including those who are not a member of the South Region, receives the South Region Programme Magazine twice a year, which contains all the activities of the South Region but also those of the aforementioned departments (BK-South, W-South, E-South, CI-South and B/W-South). This totals about 50 activities a year!
Members
B/W members residing in Zeeland, North Brabant and North Limburg (postcodes 3240 - 3259; 4300 - 4699; 4700 - 6099) are automatically members of BW-South (free of charge) and also receive the announcements of activities organised by the national Civil Engineering Department.
