Description

On Wednesday 1 December 2010, the University of Twente will host a scientific congress in honour of the 40th anniversary of study association Arago for Applied Physics.

This congress is titled "Everything is possible?!" and aims to amaze everyone, on the one hand, with what has already been discovered in the natural sciences and, on the other hand, to fascinate everyone with what remains to be discovered.
Many top scientists, including Nobel laureates Paul Crutzen and Martinus Veltman; our top Dutch physicist Robbert Dijkgraaf and Malcolm Beasley, coming over from Stanford, will talk about their great discoveries and also show that there is still so much we do not yet know. In addition, Detlef Lohse and Albert van den Berg, the only two scientists to have won both the Spinoza Prize and the Simon Stevin Master Prize, will present a new part of their research for the first time. There will also be a science quiz with the grand prize of a trip to Barcelona worth 400 euros!

All students, scientists and other interested parties from the Netherlands and the rest of Europe are welcome to come to the congress. Be inspired by the top scientists to meet future challenges in the natural sciences!
