Partner organisations and networking opportunities
The KIVI Telecommunications Division has established partnerships with related organisations outside KIVI. As a result, KIVI-TC members can also participate (sometimes for a fee) in activities of these organisations, such as:
TSOC
This Telecom association forms the Platform for Telecom, Media and ICT professionals to gather knowledge and gain and maintain contacts within the Telecom, Media and ICT industry in the Netherlands.
TSOC has over 600 members and aims to be a platform for gathering knowledge and acquiring and maintaining contacts in these sectors. Its members represent companies, independent professionals, consultants or advisers who are not looking for work.
Monthly meetings are organised, where directional speakers address current topics. These events take place at TSOC sponsor companies. These meetings are an excellent opportunity to meet these companies and colleagues in the market.
AFCEA
AFCEA is a professional association that connects innovative people, great ideas and vital solutions to advance global security. They do that by developing networking and educational opportunities and providing them in an ethical forum. This enables military, government, industry and academia to align technology and strategy to meet the needs of those who serve.
IEEE
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community to innovate for a better tomorrow through its highly-cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE is the trusted "voice" for engineering, computing and technology information around the globe.
There are more than 430,000 IEEE members in over 160 countries. The IEEE publishes a third of the world's technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science and electronics and is a leading developer of international standards that underpin many of today's telecommunications, information technology and power generation products and services.
IEEE and KIVI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which describes cooperation between and benefits for the members of the two societies.
