Almost every year, with the exception of the war years, the Stichting Wetenschappelijk Radio-fonds Veder awards a prize to one or more scientists, belonging to the Dutch nationality, who have made extraordinary merits in the field of radio or related sciences or techniques. This award is called the Veder Prize.

On the Vederfonds website, you will find detailed information about the Stichting Wetenschappelijk Radio-fonds Veder, which was founded on 4 August 1927, and about the selection process of the prizewinner.

Feather award ceremony

The presentation of the Veder Prize in a theme evening is open to members of KIVI Telecommunications. At this theme evening, the prize winner will make a presentation and a second presentation will highlight the social and technical relevance of the prize winner's topic. The award ceremony usually takes place in the month of May or June.

Veder Prize 2023

The award ceremony of the Veder Prize 2023 took place on 3 May 2024 in the Senate Hall of the Auditorium at TU Eindhoven and went to Anouk Hubrechsen of Eindhoven University of Technology for her work on 'Antenna Measurements in mmWave Reverberation Chambers'.

Veder Prize 2022

The award ceremony of the Veder Prize 2022 took place on 4 April 2023 at the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC), BIC 1, 5657 BX Eindhoven. The prize went to Robbert Schulpen for the research "Millimeter-wave Channel Sounding". The presentation Veder 2022 gives a good impression of the research.
