NERG History and Postscript

The Netherlands Electronics and Radio Society, NERG

The Netherlands Electronics and Radio Society, NERG, merged into the Telecommunications Division of KIVI on 1 January 2014. NERG was an association of engineers working in the fields of electronics, signal processing, communication and information technology. The combined board of NERG and KIVI-TC is committed to continuing specific NERG activities, such as organising the Veder Prize award ceremony and cooperation with URSI and IEEE. It also offers a programme of interest to both original NERG members and KIVI-TC members. The NERG theme meetings will be organised by KIVI from 1 January 2014.

During the Symposium NERG on 20 April 2016, Wim van Etten explained the history, development and final phase of the NERG, as well as the rationale for the dissolution of the NERG, as can be seen in theFinal presentation NERG dd. 20-04-2016.
