Relations with other KIVI departments
Several departments are active within KIVI that have ties to the engineering field of rail systems. It is the aim of the Rail Division to provide a link between different disciplines and not to be a competitive body. Efforts are made to optimise complementary cooperation with these departments and, to this end, contacts are maintained with the following departments:
- Department of Traffic and Transport Engineering;
- Department of Vehicle Engineering;
- Department of Transport Engineering;
- Department of Construction.
Relations with other associations and other bodies
It is important to publicise the Rail Section and then maintain contacts with a number of relevant parties within the rail-oriented world. Several associations are active in the field of rail-related traffic and transport. Relations are maintained with these and good cooperation is sought. These include the following associations and (international) bodies:
- Railforum;
- IRSE, Dutch section;
- PWI;
- VDEI;
- UEEIV;
- Affi.
