The Young KIVI Engineers department warmly welcomes its members to this general membership meeting. This year the ALV is extra important, because in 2024 we will be facing the 4th lustrum of the YKE department and we don't want to let that pass us by just like that. Therefore, YKE wants to brainstorm together with its members on possible interesting topics, activities and networking opportunities. YKE will also announce its new structure, in which members will play a much more prominent role. To keep the evening relaxed, YKE offers its members a free dinner and activity with drinks, so there will be plenty of time to network on this evening as well. If you know any YKE members, please spread the word!

Dinner

YKE offers its members a free dinner in Hall 22, so that we can start the meeting with full energy. Any allergies or dietary requirements can be indicated when registering.

Of course, YKE will also present the standard items at this ALV as usual.

New structure

YKE has struggled to recruit new board members in recent years and wants to change this. It is time for members who actively contribute to the department to reap the benefits! Therefore, at this general meeting, YKE will present a new structure in which YKE members can make a difference to other members of the department from their own field and expertise. This way, you can distinguish yourself as an engineer while working on your own knowledge and skills.

Vote

During this ALV, as a YKE member, you can make your voice heard! After presenting the new plans, we will facilitate several rounds of voting in which you as a YKE member will have a share. This way, you can decide which new plans you think are a good idea and together we will determine YKE's direction.

Activity with drinks

We will conclude the evening with an old-fashioned game of bowling, with drinks.

Accessibility*

To welcome our YKE members from all over the country, we chose a central location in the Netherlands: Utrecht. Opposite the famous Carlton President is a unique meeting and sports venue; Hal22 where we can discuss the direction of our department while enjoying dinner and an activity.

Public transport:

BUS By bus line 38, 48 or 73 get off at stop Utrecht, Savannahweg or Maarssenbroek, Zonnebaan (73 only)

TRAIN/BUS Maarssen station, then catch bus 73 to Utrecht, Savannahweg or Maarssenbroek, Zonnebaan (it is over a half-hour walk from Maarssen station)

Car and Parking:

AUTO From the North A27 > N230 exit Maarssen-Broek, From the East/West/South A2 exit 6 to 8 > exit 6 Maarssen

There is free parking at the venue, electric charging stations are also available.
