Trade journal Geotechnics
Geotechniek is a leading publication for the geotechnical field in the Netherlands and Belgium since 1997. Its primary goal is to be an informative/promotional independent trade journal that exchanges knowledge and experience, promotes insight and cultivates interest in the entire geotechnical field.
Wide recognition proves that the journal achieves this objectively. But it has also proved to be a documentation of key developments in the profession. Many renowned names from the geo-world are now among its authors, people enjoy publishing in Geotechnical and the journal is widely read, consulted and cited in literature references.
The specialist journal Geotechniek is the official organ of the Geotechnical Section of KIVI (the Royal Institute of Engineers) and information medium in the field of geotechnical engineering, focusing on the Netherlands and the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. The specialist journal contains a news section with up-to-date information on the geotechnical field, a number of fixed sections and various articles. Each issue strives for a balance between the more scientific and the more practice-oriented articles.

The circulation of the trade magazine is 4,500. It is distributed in the Netherlands and Belgium. The professional journal Geotechniek is made possible by about 30 companies and organisations that provide financial support.

Editorial board
The editorial board is responsible for maintaining the independent and authoritative status of the professional journal and guarantees the quality of its content. The editorial board is composed of representatives from the professional fields, representatives from the sponsors of Geotechnics and a representative of the publisher. The editorial board consists of about 35 people. Roel Brouwer/Arny Lengkeek participate in the editorial board from KIVI Geotechnology.
