Knowledge base LiFi technology

LiFi or Li-Fi is a technology that uses LED lights to transmit data via light. The name Li-Fi is an abbreviation for "Light Fidelity". The term was coined by German physicist Harald Haas and was publicly introduced at the TED Global talk in July 2011. Li-Fi, like Wi-Fi, is capable of sending data bilaterally and at high speed and can wirelessly connect electronic devices such as computers, tablets and smartphones to the internet.

LiFi is the new international standard for wireless internet via light

This website provides a good explanation and demonstration of how it works.

What is LiFi? Li-Fi is a wireless data communication technology that uses Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to transmit data via light.
