Storage (electrical energy storage)
The storage of electrical energy is needed to secure security of supply during periods of (too) little wind and sun and thus to bridge them.

Several projects involve the storage of electrical energy in conjunction with (temporary) storage in electric vehicles (cars) and battery stations at neighbourhood transformer stations.
To obtain safe operation of battery energy storage systems, NEN 4288 Dec 2020 was published with additional requirements to NEN 3140 (Safe operation of low-voltage electrical installations).
With this, this standard NEN 4288 for operations makes the technology not only safer but also more applicable and efficient.
