This mentoring programme for female engineers has been set up because it is in high demand. Women in engineering often face challenges such as a lack of role models, limited networking opportunities and little mentoring that matches their career goals. This programme helps female engineers to fulfil their ambitions and develop further.
This is a pilot to discover how mentoring contributes to the growth and visibility of women in engineering. The aim is to build a lasting network in which experienced engineers share their knowledge with the next generation. After this first edition, we will look at how to expand the programme further.
The mentoring programme is organised by the board of Network Women Engineers (NVI). This board consists of volunteer female engineers who are committed to supporting and connecting colleagues. In doing so, NVI is strongly supported by KIVI and the KIVI coaches, who help prepare and guide the mentees.
