JOB VACANCY: ENGINEERING MANAGER
As Engineering Manager at AAE in Helmond, you will help build the engineering organisation behind the next generation of high-tech systems.
Within our Advanced OEM Systems business unit, you will provide leadership in Quality and Technology. You will bring together different engineering disciplines and help teams and individuals to grow and develop. As a member of the Management Team, you will liaise between engineering, quality, commercial, Operations and Supply Chain.
PUSHING TECHNICAL BOUNDARIES
AAE is a family-owned high-tech company in Helmond with approximately 600 employees. Across three business lines, we develop and manufacture technology that helps make the world a little better.
Advanced OEM Systems (AOS) is one of these business lines. Within AOS, we work with start-ups, scale-ups and established OEMs. We collaborate with our customers on their technology and help them develop new products and prepare them for series production.
We develop complete high-tech systems for sectors including semiconductors, medical technology, life sciences and consumer goods. We transform designs into manufacturable systems and reliable production processes.
This is the business line where we would like to welcome you as our Engineering Manager.
WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE BE?
As Engineering Manager, you will combine engineering, leadership and collaboration. You will work with a variety of customers and technologies whilst helping to shape the continued development of our engineering organisation.
You will lead professionals from different engineering disciplines. You will bring their knowledge and perspectives together, help people develop, and provide clarity in technical and organisational decision-making.
Your main responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for Quality and Technology within the AOS Management Team.
- You will guide the ongoing development of our multidisciplinary engineering organisation and create an environment where engineers can collaborate effectively and grow professionally.
- You will link Mechanical, Software, Electronics, Systems and Manufacturing Engineering and ensure that expertise and capacity are utilised effectively.
- Together with the teams, you will ensure technical quality and help resolve complex engineering challenges.
- You will translate relevant technological developments into decisions that help shape our future.
- You will collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure that new machines and systems can be produced reliably and at scale.

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES
For this role, we are particularly interested in your experience in machine design and development, as well as your experience in leading teams.
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field.
- You have experience in designing or developing machines or complex mechatronic systems.
- You have several years’ experience leading technical professionals.
- You know how to bring together different technical disciplines and perspectives.
- You can translate technical challenges into clear decisions for your team, customers and the organisation.

For this role, we offer:
- A gross monthly salary of between €5,500 and €9,000 based on a 40-hour working week, depending on your knowledge and experience.
- The option to work 32 to 40 hours per week.
- Annual profit-sharing.
- 40 days’ paid leave for full-time employment (27 days’ annual leave + 13 ADV days).
- A travel allowance.
