About Young KIVI Engineers

Young KIVI Engineers (YKE) is the independent community for all engineers up to 36 years old in the Netherlands. We help young engineers deepen their professional knowledge, develop personal skills and expand their network. Our mission: to contribute to a new generation of excellent engineers. As part of the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI), we are part of a network of more than 13,000 engineers, nationally and internationally.

What will you do as PR Commissioner?

As PR Commissioner, you are part of the YKE board and you will be responsible for YKE's visibility to the outside world. You ensure that YKE's communication with its supporters and partners runs smoothly. YKE organises a wide range of events and conferences. The PR Commissioner is an important cornerstone that makes organising these events possible. You will include:

• Establish YKE's PR and communication strategy;
• Manage social media channels and create content (LinkedIn, WhatsApp);
• Create a quarterly newsletter for YKE's supporters;
• Collaborate with other board members, committee members, and portfolio management team members to make YKE's activities visible;
• Collaborate with KIVI's communications team to increase YKE's visibility and positioning.

What are we looking for in you?

We are looking for a committed engineer with a broad social interest and a desire to put technical young engineers on the map. You are someone who:

• Strong in connecting and communicating;
• Works in a structured way and keeps an overview;
• Shows initiative and thinks proactively about improvements;
• Has a vision on reaching and portraying young professionals;
• Has communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Enjoys bringing out YKE's wide range of events and liaising with partners.
