Young KIVI Engineers is looking for a Chairman for our new Education Committee. About Young KIVI Engineers

Young KIVI Engineers (YKE) is the independent community for all engineers up to 36 years old in the Netherlands. We help young engineers deepen their professional knowledge, develop personal skills and expand their network. Our mission: to contribute to a new generation of excellent engineers. As part of the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI), we are part of a network of more than 13,000 engineers, nationally and internationally.

About the Education Committee

The Education Committee takes care of the content and implementation of the YKE Growth Programme, YKE Talent Programme and the Masterclasses. The Education Committee keeps the programmes up to date, creates inspiring topics and ensures proper organisation. Examples include:

• Initiating appropriate development programmes within the YKE Board;
• Monitoring the quality and progress of the education programmes;
• Arranging venues and speakers;
• Collaborating with KIVI coaches.

What will you do as Chairman?

As Chairman, you will lead the Education Committee and work closely with the YKE board. You will ensure that everything runs smoothly; from idea to implementation. Among other things, you will:

• Organise and lead periodic meetings;
• Monitor the planning and progress of education programmes;
• Coordinate the progress of development initiatives;
• Liaise between committee members and the board.

What are we looking for in you?

We are looking for an enthusiastic President with a passion for education and technology. You are someone who:

• Experienced in forming an educational curriculum (training as a teacher in technical education is a plus)
• Is strong in connecting and communicating;
• Works in a structured way and keeps an overview;
• Shows initiative and thinks proactively about improvements;
• Is able to work well within the framework of the board;
• Is committed to valuable development programmes for future engineers.
