Want to grow but something keeps coming up?

Then the YKE Talent Programme is for you. By working on your growth goals together with a dedicated coach, you will reach the dot on the horizon. The YKE Talent Programme offers an intensive, customised programme in which you define your growth goals with a renowned KIVI coach. Together, you examine what you need to achieve your goals and plan clear milestones. Through five master classes organised annually by YKE, you will strengthen your personal growth.

Core objectives

The methodology of the YKE Talent Programme is based on the philosophy of Chartered and Incorporated Engineering. This defines five core competences:

1. Knowledge;
2. Skills;
3. Leadership;
4. Communication;
5. Commitment.

Using these five core competencies, a KIVI coach will ensure that you get the most out of yourself and excel as an engineer. Completion of the YKE Talent Programme prepares the participant for the Chartered and Incorporated Engineering track.

How does the YKE Talent Programme run?

The YKE Talent Programme is a one-year pathway organised by YKE and consists of six contact moments, including a kick-off, coaching sessions and master classes and an award ceremony. Coaching sessions and master classes are combined in one evening meeting so that participants can discuss progress and their experiences with each other.

What to expect:

• Preparation of a personal development plan to achieve your wishes and goals within a year;
• Six contact moments with all YKE Talent programme participants to learn from each other's experiences and inspire each other;
• Five coaching sessions with a KIVI coach to discuss the progress of your wishes and goals;
• Five YKE master classes focused on personal development;
• A 'buddy system' that allows you to stay motivated on your growth path even between contact moments;
• The ideal preparation for the Chartered and Incorporated Engineering programme.

Part 1: Kick-off

The YKE Talent Programme starts with a kick-off. On this evening, you will meet other participants, your buddy, KIVI coaches and someone from the YKE board. You will learn about the content of the programme so that you can prepare for the following sessions.

Part 2: Coaching sessions and master classes

The kick-off is followed by personal coaching sessions and master classes. These are successively four evenings spread over the year, during which the coaching sessions and master classes take place together. The coaching sessions, facilitated by renowned KIVI coaches, go deeper into your personal development and enable you to reflect on it. the master classes, given by inspiring professionals, offer you as a participant of the YKE Talent Programme tools relevant to your development and career. Between the four evenings, there is room to work further on your development through the buddy system.

Part 3: Final master class and award ceremony

The YKE Talent Programme concludes with a final master class and a ceremonial award ceremony. During this ceremony, you will receive your official certificate after you, as a participant of the YKE Talent Programme, have given a speech about your experience, your development goal and your lessons learned. For this ceremony, you may invite friends, family and colleagues so that they can support and encourage you during this evening.

After this year-long programme, you will master the five Chartered/Incorporated Engineering core competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Leadership, Communication, Commitment) and be able to set sharper growth goals in your career. Taking the YKE masterclasses will have given you a broader view of personal development and given you a jump in skills that can be immediately applied in practice.

Who is the YKE Talent Programme for?

The YKE Talent Programme is aimed at ambitious engineers, under the age of 36. Interested in the Chartered and Incorporated Engineering route, but not yet able to enter it, this is the perfect preparation for you. It does not matter what sector you work in or what position you hold. Are you a senior student or (senior) professional and want to join? Then contact YKE. In some cases, it may also be useful to participate in this talent programme at a later age, for instance in case of a career switch. Together, we will see if this programme suits you.

Participation requirements

Participation in the YKE Talent Programme requires proof of completion of the YKE Growth Programme not older than one year. Not yet participated in the YKE Growth Programme? Check the YKE activity calendar for the next opportunity. The YKE Growth Programme is offered twice a year: one in spring and one in autumn.

Completion

To complete the YKE Talent Programme, you must have demonstrably attended 100% of the components, being the kick-off and the five coaching sessions and associated master classes, of the programme. The YKE Talent Programme concludes with an official certificate.

Costs
